RSBS TV: 2009 AL Central Preview

Produced, shot and edited by Atonal Studios.

Special thanks to Theo Roll.

Very special thanks to Dontrelle Willis for still giving it the old college try.  At least you’ll have 2005, D-Train.  You will always have 2005.

(For best playback results, watch in High Quality)

Julia — Thanks! Congrats to you as well.
Jen — I wish I thought the Sox would take it easily… but lots of young question marks need to step up for that to happen.

  2. ccrbirdbrained

    You guys are killing me.

As much as I’d like to see the White Sox win the Central, I just have this weird feeling that Anthony Reyes is going to win 17 games for the Indians and lead them to the division title.

  3. redstatebluestate

Oh no, don’t say it, Chris, don’t mutter his name!!! LOL. Still, he was well worth that ’06 WS Game 1.

I have to disagree but like Jen I have a very difficult time being objective. But you have to admit the Indians’ lineup if everyone’s healthy (which they are) is scary. Pitching’s iffy but I think it will pull together. I have the Twins second though.

  5. Erin Kathleen

Well, I can remain objective about the division, and I think the Indians are going to win it. Their lineup, if healthy, makes me nervous, and they do have some nice depth in their rotation (that’s right, I just called Carl Pavano ‘depth in the rotation’). Thanks for trying to jinx the Twins, though!

The key to the Indians is staying healthy. When you have Pavano, Victor Martinez, and Travis Hafner as major cornerstones of your success, that’s not a sure thing. Still, I love their upside. Sizemore, Shoppach, Pronk (if he can stay healthy), Martinez (ibid), Peralta… Choo has the ability to be very good, and DeRosa carried the Cubs offensively at times last year. If that rotation can stay in one piece and get leads to Wood at the end of the game, they can be very good.

    Great video.
Also love the retro Expos jersey. Bring a nice touch to it all.
Great to see you guys get back up into number two on the rankings. The videos lately have been awesome. Another side of the duo we never knew. You guys are sports anchors underneath it all.

    Keep it up guys!

I love all these predictions. Next time one tries to predict, ask them to provide the predictions for a horse race or a marathon. Its hard to do. After all, weren’t people predicting Clinton to win the Democratic nomination and Romney for the Republicans, at least the ones I know were. Yet Barack Obama and John McCain won.
Gotta love your spirit and perhaps you will be right, the Twins will win. However, let’s play the games and see what may happen.

Tom — We were lookin’ for some light. Still lost.
Melissa — Curious to see if the real Cliff Lee stands up or not.
Katie — a la Justin, I’m bringin’ Expos back.
Erin — Pav could be the real deal this year with the interlocking NY off his chest.
Roundrock — Yeah, Wood looks a lot better than Borowski. That’s for sure.
RR — Thanks for the good word! We’ll keep bringin’ it!
    Aaron — I agree. Let’s play. Let’s play two.

With regards to D-Train, all i can think is… ‘Oh the Humanity’ truly a disaster of epic proportions. ‘I can’t talk, ladies and gentlemen. Honest: he’s just laying there, a mass of smoking wreckage … I’m gonna have to stop for a minute because I’ve lost my voice. This is the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed’.

DK, nice historical reenactment. Have you thought about donning the rebel gray or union blue and pulling the ol’ musket out of the closet?
There seem to be a lot of Tribe supporters on here. At least you’re Midwesterners. I can let it ride because of that.

Every weekend Jeff. You’ll be getting your invitation via telegraph, be sure to tip the operator.

  13. redstatebluestate

    DK — I’ll loose change… though I don’t really know what you’re talking about.
Jane — I meant to say, “all Yankee fans who do not read RSBS have no souls”. Pardon the mistake 😉

Tom I’ve been trying to get jeff to close the shades at that place but too many people like looking at him and he doesn’t want to disappoint them.
