RSBS Investigates: Brett Myers

Dear readers, I present to you photographic evidence that new Houston Astros pitcher, Brett Myers (right), does take the occasional break from beating his wife, Kim (left).  The happy couple is seen here, in the Astros’ clubhouse, during the press conference which welcomed the domestic abuser to the team earlier this month.

brett myers and kim myers astros.jpgThere are no obvious or visible lacerations on Kim’s face, so we are fairly certain that the transition from Philadelphia to Houston was a smooth one for the Myers family.

Though a closer look at this picture does cause alarm for the fairer Myers.  For she somehow allowed her husband to wear a black suit with brown shoes, which if discovered by the loud-mouthed hurler, may spell Kim’s certain extinction.

Hopefully, Brett’s inner idiocy will save us all from such a devastating circumstance.

Hate me ‘cuz I color coordinate, just don’t hate me ‘cuz I’m right.

I do hope Myers gives a mulligan on whomever selected his wardrobe…much like he’s been given a do-over on his pitching career since that weekend in Boston.

It wouldn’t be the worst fashion crime in Houston – they had those God-awful blue – with pinstripes and a toy rocket blasting off – Rockets uniforms AFTER they won championships with their red unis.

If you look at Mrs. Myers closely, you can see that deer-in-the-headlights-look though. She probably just noticed the brown shoes and is praying that she doesn’t have to face any music later.

Myers was a piece of crap to begin with never liked the guy. That and he isn’t that great of a pitcher so he is the worst of two worlds.

Jonah — I like your use of the word ‘do-over’ here. Wish I had that type of do-over. Ain’t happenin…
Cici — Good call. Didn’t notice, but you’re right… and the sunglasses on the top of the head? Really?
Ez_Mac — Hahaha. NO I CANNNNNNOT SPEL IT.
Matt — Yeah! Trouble in Paradise! Whatever it is, it won’t be near the trouble at PNC!
Lorca — Some guys get all the luck…. jeesh.

All of the above commenters got it right. The shoes and suit don’t go together. The suit does look like he slept in it. And his wife does looks like she’d make a run for it if her feet weren’t glued to the floor. Myers gives me the creeps. Ugh.

Even before I continued scrolling beneath the photo, I noticed the shoes. Obviously she did not see what he had put on before they left for the press conference – no woman would let her husband out like that, and only a man would actually wear that together (I recall only too vividly some of the fashion faux pas that my husband committed before we were married).

you say that there’re no obvious lacerations on her face but the quality of the photo la leaves much to be desired and we can’t make definite conclusions!
